Get Involved
New Haven is a city where you can get engaged, build community, and make an impact. Below are a few key community resources for how to get involved and meet other neighbors:
IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD
Join your Community Management Team
Community Management Teams (CMTs) are a monthly public forum for neighbors that meets to discuss community issues and opportunities. The Fair Haven CMT meets every first Thursday of the month at 6pm, and the East Rock CMT meets every 4th Monday at 7pm. Find your CMT and learn more here.
Meet Your Alder
An Alder is elected to represent your Ward to support residents with community issues and citywide policy. Find your Alder and learn more here.
Report an Issue
SeeClickFix (founded in New Haven) is an app you can use to report non-emergency issues to the City — issues such as potholes, graffiti, illegal dumping, and more. Register and report an issue here.
ACROSS THE CITY
Voting is an important and meaningful way to have your voice heard in local, state, and federal elections. Register to vote here.
